We are seeking a creative volunteer to help capture the energy of our youth sports programs. Junior Athletes provides multisport and basketball programming for children ages 2 to 12, focusing on confidence, activity, and a lifelong connection to sport. In this role, you will help tell our story by capturing moments during our sessions and sharing them across our social media platforms. Locations and Schedule We operate chapters across the Ottawa region. You do not need to be present for every shift; we scale your involvement up or down based on your availability and interest. Chapters: RA Centre Barrhaven Kanata Orleans Weekly Program Windows: Saturday & Sunday Mornings: 8:30 am 2:15 pm Monday & Tuesday Nights: 4:45 pm 7:00 pm Note: You are not required to volunteer for the full duration of these windows. For example, you may choose to support a Saturday session from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm and a Monday session from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Core Responsibilities Capture the Action: Take photos and videos during active sessions to highlight participant engagement. Social Storytelling: Draft and post short-form content for Instagram and Facebook. Collaborate: Work with the program team to develop fresh ideas for digital outreach. Community Impact: Help families see the value of our programming through your creative lens. Qualifications An interest in photography or social media (professional experience is not required). Comfortable navigating social media apps and writing brief, engaging captions. Reliable, creative, and eager to support a community-based sports initiative. Previous experience in content creation is an asset but not a necessity.
