Buckland is looking for a Solution Architect What youll be doing This position is responsible for having a strong focus on software architecture and a solid understanding of IT infrastructure. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in aligning the organization software architecture with business goals, ensuring scalability and performance, while also contributing to the broader IT strategy. Own end-to-end solution design, focusing on software systems. Advocate for and practice continuous integration, continuous delivery, Test Driven Development (TDD) and Behaviour Driven Development (BDD). Evaluate and improve internal business strategies and IT processes, with a focus on software development and deployment in a CI/CD environment. Create and implement comprehensive software architecture models to meet the organizations strategic objectives. Provide expertise in software development practices and technologies, including Cloudnative architectures, and DevSecOps, Big Data, and Analytics. Assess new software technologies and their feasibility for integration into the existing IT landscape. Ensure the security, efficiency, and scalability of software systems within the organization. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to create detailed reports and documentation using Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Align team efforts by practicing Critical decision making, effective planning and prioritizing tasks ensuring decision are aligned with companys vision. Develop, implement, and maintain efficient workflows to optimize team productivity, minimize downtime for smooth operations. To provide the highest level of customer service by developing and maintaining customer service policies and procedures to ensure consistency and quality. Leadership Responsibilities N/A What we need from you Computer Science or Software Engineering degree or equivalent education and work experience. Certifications in software architecture frameworks and methodologies are preferred (e.g., TOGAF, SAFe for Architects, Azure Solutions Architect). 8+ years of experience as an Enterprise/Technical Solution Architect in an Agile environment. Familiarity with core Project Management skills and all Agile events. Solid understanding of cloud IT infrastructure components and how they interact with software systems. Experience in cloud computing, data management, and emerging technologies. Excellent problem solving and decisionmaking skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Must be legally eligible to work for the Company at all times. Valid Passport and ability and desire to occasionally travel if required to other office locations in CAD/USA/MEX. Want to apply?
