Job Description J.D. Irving Limited is currently seeking a Lead Hand for our trenching operations in Northern New Brunswick. The Lead Hand will ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality trenching activities across our Woodlands sites. Competitive wages + weekly performance bonus Company vehicle provided Group Insurance and RRSP match Responsibilities Safety Ensure all crew members use PPE Enforce safety protocols and incident reporting procedures Participate in monthly safety reviews Maintain clean and hazard free worksites Quality Report daily trench progress to the supervisor Communicate production targets and review shift plans Coordinate float moves and participate in machine productivity reviews Equipment Track machine hours and schedule maintenance Maintain inventory of disk trenching equipment and spare parts Ensure all equipment and trailers are clean and organized Qualifications 2-3 years of experience in forestry, construction, or disk trenching operations Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to perform general machine repairs Leadership/supervision experience will be considered as an asset Valid class 5 driver's license Willingness to work day and night shifts as required About Us Founded in 1882, J.D.
