Join the new CBI Health and find where your better begins.About This OpportunityAs part of this role, youll travel within Edmonton and nearby rural areas to support our community care teams. Youll work on a rotating evening and weekend schedule, with regular shifts of four days a week from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Reporting to the Care Manager or designate, the After-Hours Community Care Supervisor provides ongoing coaching and guidance to community employees, while ensuring the immediate needs of clients are met through the effective supervision of community-based staff. This role represents the organization in a professional, compassionate, and responsive manner.QualificationsGraduate of a recognized nursing programCurrent and active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA)Minimum one (1) year of clinical experience, preferably in a community care settingPrevious supervisory experience, ideally within the healthcare sectorCurrent CPR certificationProficient in speaking, reading, and writing English to meet job requirementsValid drivers license and insuranceAccess to a reliable vehicle for work-related travel, including rural areasEssential FunctionsProvide the following supervision functions for community employees:Ongoing support, coaching, and mentoring to community employeesEvaluate job performance and competencies of community employees and ensure they understand their role and the care to be providedSupervise restricted activities of regulated health services provided by unregulated staffProvide client specific trainingInvestigate client, community employees or Referring Agency concerns and assist in problem solvingFlexibility to work evening, weekend, and on-call shifts on a rotating scheduleCompetenciesDemonstrated supervisory experience and effective team buildingExcellent interpersonal, communication (written and verbal) and organizational skillsExcellent demonstration of customer serviceSelf-directed and highly motivatedDemonstration of excellent problem solving skillsTeam playerDemonstrates professionalism in all situationsProficiency in Microsoft Office suite, and the ability to learn new programs specific to the businessMaintain a positive working relationship with clients, families, referring agencies and colleagues in a manner that promotes good community relationsMaintain knowledge of community care requirements/trends and participate in identifying services/training required to meet themEnsures client centered care with client safety as a priorityAbout UsFor millions of Canadians, CBI Health is where better begins.
