Duration: 9 monthsSUMMARY OF THE ROLE:Department Overview:Learning and Development is responsible for the strategic direction and establishment of learning and performance enablement solutions to build capabilities for leaders and employees. The function takes a high-level view to ensure continuous development through on-the-job learning and helping employees perform better in their jobs. It enhances and supports the achievement of business objectives today and for the future.Role overview:This is a dual-skilled role (Design + Development) requiring someone who can independently build complex eLearning assets from scratch while also consulting with stakeholders and SMEs.This is NOT an entry-level or mid-level instructional design role. We are specifically looking for 8+ years of experience with advanced simulation development.Accountabilities:Design / contribute to the design of learning and development programs, including instructional frameworks, content mapping, prototypes or drafts, narrative scripts and storyboards in various delivery methodsResponsible for the overall design and/or development/authoring of learning solutionsInterpret and develop what the learner sees in terms of graphics, formatting, animations etc. based on instructional design and subject matter expert inputAct as a subject matter expert with both practical and technical expertise in all areas of creative and graphic design, including online content design and paper-based assets while leveraging a combination of typography, photography and illustrationCreatively develop all learning solutions (i.e., eLearning/simulations, online performance support tools, presentations, graphic rich deliverables, videos, eBooks, etc.) to be visually engaging while also in alignment with Client Brand standards and guidelinesEnsure learner accessibility and principles of diversity and inclusion in developing all learning solutionsWork directly with Course Owner, Instructional Designer (if applicable), and subject matter experts to capture course-specific knowledgeParticipate in and contribute to project scoping and planning, setting standards for the learner experience that will enable learning objectives to be satisfiedAssess and identify business needs/requirements, scoping key design solutions, determining the end deliverables and resources necessary for each projectRecommend the most effective blend of instructor-led, hands-on, and web-based learning to be used in a given solutionContribute to the success of the team by willingly assisting others in the completion and performance of work activities; provide training, coaching and/or guidance as appropriate.Must have Skills:Minimum of 8+ years of instructional design/development experience is requiredExperience in building complex (level 4) simulations, videos and assessments is requiredExpert level knowledge of eLearning development using Articulate Storyline 3 or 360 and Rise 360 is required, Camtasia or any other toolsStrong creative and graphic design skills are requiredExpert level knowledge of PowerPoint, Word and experience with other Microsoft Office applications (I.E. Excel, Outlook, Word) is requiredExperience with Accessible Design (designing fully accessible solutions, testing assets through screen readers such as JAWS and for Keyboard navigation) following the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1) is required.Accessibility Experience (Very Important)Strong understanding of WCAG guidelinesExperience designing accessible learning contentFamiliarity with screen readersMust understand accessibility in development, not just theoryPortfolio Required (No Google Drive Links)Must provide accessible portfolioScreenshots, PPT, Word doc acceptableGoogle Drive links will NOT be reviewedTools & Technical SkillsArticulate Storyline (Advanced)Articulate RiseCamtasia (or similar video tools)Adobe Suite (asset/video editing)eLearning development end-to-endSoft Skills:Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlinesAbility to think strategically and possess strong business acumenAbility to communicate effectively in both oral and written formNice to have:Portfolio of past work in instructional design and development is recommendedExperience with Go Animate/Vyond, Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Camtasia video production tools are an assetExperience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and other graphic design components within the Adobe Creative Cloud product suite is an assetPreferably at a banking or financial institutionProficient knowledge of learning and performance enablement solutions, program design, design inputs for program evaluation, learning consultation, needs analysis, learning instructional design and content design analysis are preferredExperience with Adobe Connect, Webex, MS Teams virtual learning tools is preferredAbout US Tech Solutions: US Tech Solutions is a global staff augmentation firm providing a wide range of talent on-demand and total workforce solutions.
