Your new company Hays has partnered with a general contractor who has an office on the west side of the Greater Toronto Area and works on institutional, commercial and industrial projects all across the GTA and Hamilton region. They have been servicing this Southern Ontario region for over 75 years and have built their company on key values including integrity, honesty and quality. Your new role The open role(s) is for a Project Manager to join the team, reporting to the Director of Operations. They will work on site and out of office, overseeing multiple ICI projects in the Greater Toronto Area, Hamilton and Kitchener/Cambridge area. They will partner with Superintendents and provide overall construction management from pre-construction to completion, including coordination management, budgeting, scheduling, and quality control. They will monitor project costs, and ensure that projects are done in a timely manner and within budget. They will lead project meetings with internal and external parties ensuring development and progression and that all projects are done in compliance with safety, specifications, and drawings. What you'll need to succeed The successful Project Manager will have at least 7 years managing ICI projects from start to finish. They will have a degree or post-secondary education in architectural technology, engineering or equivalent. This Project Manager must come from a tier 1 or 2 contractor that specifically works on industrial, commercial, or institutional projects. They will be an effective communicator with the ability to work with both internal and external teams and conduct meetings when needed on site or in office. Finally, the Project Manager must have experience of dealing with and completing projects with at least $25 million dollars in value.
