Responsibilities Administer full-cycle Canadian and US payrolls, including unionized environments across existing and future payroll and HRIS platforms Lead payroll accounting, journal entries, and audits Supervise and coach the payroll team (Lead Administrator and Payroll Specialist) Ensure compliance with federal, provincial, and US state labor laws Oversee reporting, reconciliation, and internal control improvements Spearhead payroll process re-engineering and automation initiatives Support finance team integration and digital system transformation Build strong cross-functional relationships (Finance, HR, Operations) Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure seamless payroll and benefits administration (RRSP, 401k, Drug, Dental, Extended Health) Participate in cross-functional projects to enhance overall business operations Requirements 10+ years of payroll leadership experience PCP designation and HR experience preferred Proven expertise with multi-state US and Canadian payroll compliance Systems: UKG, ADP Workforce Now, Avanti, Passport (T&E), Epicor, Vena Industry experience in agriculture, manufacturing, or similar complex settings Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills If you are already registered with The Mason Group, please contact your Recruiting Consultant directly with reference to job #20453.
