Our client, a global leader in skylights and daylighting solutions, is seeking a Construction Training Specialist to join their team in the GTA. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a construction or roofing background who enjoys teaching, working with their hands, and helping others succeed. The Opportunity In this role, youll train contractors, roofers, and installers on the proper installation of skylight products. Youll be the go-to expert in the field, traveling to job sites and hosting training sessions at the companys Academy in Oakville. Beyond installation techniques, youll also share best practices that help installers grow their business and improve profitability. This is a great step for someone who wants to move from handson construction work into a role that blends technical expertise, training delivery, and customer interaction. Key Responsibilities Lead handson training sessions showing roofers and contractors how to properly install skylight products. Conduct training at job sites across BC using a mobile training setup and at the Academy facility. Work closely with the sales team to plan and manage your training calendar. Help contractors strengthen their skills, troubleshoot installations, and improve overall business success. Provide support at the showroom when not traveling. Keep training sessions interactive, practical, and safetyfocused. Contribute to the creation of training materials and track participants using CRM tools. What Were Looking For Solid background in construction, roofing, or installation work . Comfortable with tools and skilled in handson building practices. Strong communicator, able to teach and create enthusiasm in group settings. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Physically able to lift/carry 60+ lbs, climb, and work in handson settings. Willingness to travel overnight across BC (approx. 25% annually). Nice to Have: Previous experience mentoring, coaching, or training others. A passion for helping contractors improve their craft and business.
