The Director, Finance & Accounting is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the financial health and integrity of the organization. This role plays a critical part in strategic planning, decisionmaking, and longterm growth. Reporting to executive leadership, you will lead a highperforming finance team, manage all fiscal operations, and partner crossfunctionally to drive performance, scalability, and operational excellence across a growing franchise network. What Youll Be Doing Lead all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls across the companys group of entities Provide timely financial insights, analysis, and recommendations to support strategic decisionmaking and franchise development initiatives Oversee daytoday accounting operations to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to best practices Design, maintain, and continuously improve strong internal controls, financial policies, and procedures Lead the annual audit process, act as the primary liaison with external auditors, and ensure compliance with all regulatory and financial reporting standards Collaborate closely with Franchising, Operations, Store Development, People & Culture, IT, and Marketing to evaluate opportunities, manage risk, and enhance financial performance Drive improvements in financial systems, ERP tools, reporting capabilities, and KPIs to support organizational growth and scalability Manage banking relationships, financing arrangements, and lender reporting requirements Oversee cash flow management and foreign exchange activities Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing Finance team aligned with company values and culture What You Must Have CPA designation (required); MBA or other advanced financerelated credential is considered an asset 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance leadership roles, ideally within QSR, franchising, or multiunit retail environments Deep understanding of Canadian financial regulations, GAAP, and bestinclass financial practices Proven experience leading budgeting, forecasting, cost control initiatives, and strategic planning processes Strong systems expertise, including ERP platforms and financial reporting tools A handson leadership approach that balances strategic vision with operational execution Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and partner effectively at all organizational levels You thrive in fastpaced, growthoriented environments and enjoy building structure while enabling innovation.
