About The Role As the Director, People Operations, you will be a strategic and handson leader responsible for building and optimizing our People function as the company continues to grow. You will design and execute a comprehensive People strategy that encompasses talent acquisition, employee experience, performance management, total rewards, and compliance. Reporting directly to the CEO, youll play a critical role in building the infrastructure, processes, and culture that enable our next stage of growth. The ideal candidate brings deep HR expertise, a strong operational orientation, and a track record of implementing People programs in dynamic, highgrowth environments. Responsibilities Strategic People Leadership Develop and execute a forwardlooking People strategy aligned with business priorities and growth goals. Advise leadership on organizational design, workforce planning, and talent development. Serve as a strategic thought partner to the executive team, balancing nearterm needs with longterm scalability. Champion a peoplefirst, highperformance culture that reflects our values. People Operations Infrastructure Lead the design and implementation of HR programs, policies, and systems to support company growth. Evaluate, implement, and optimize HR technology (HRIS, performance tools) to drive efficiency and datadriven decisionmaking. Build frameworks for consistent performance management, career development, and learning programs. Lead the strategy and execution of total rewards programs, including compensation, incentives, equity, benefits, and recognition. People Operations & Compliance Oversee daytoday HR operations, ensuring processes are efficient, compliant, and continuously improving. Ensure compliance with Canadian federal and provincial employment and privacy legislation. Oversee all aspects of office administration, creating a safe, engaging, and productive environment. Talent Acquisition & Management Partner with hiring managers to design and optimize recruiting and onboarding practices. Develop and implement strategies for attracting, retaining, and developing top talent at all levels. Drive the development of performance management, feedback, and career growth frameworks that evolve with the business. Culture & Engagement Foster a positive, inclusive, and highperforming workplace culture that can scale with organizational growth. Lead initiatives that enhance engagement, recognition, and employee connection in both inoffice and remote environments. Act as a trusted advisor on employee relations, ensuring fairness, transparency, and a consistent employee experience. Requirements 12+ years of progressive HR experience, including 57+ years in a senior leadership or Head of HR role. Proven track record of designing, implementing, and scaling people programs, systems, and policies in highgrowth environments. Strong knowledge of Canadian employment law, compliance, and HR best practices across multiple provinces. Demonstrated ability to influence, coach, and collaborate with senior leadership and crossfunctional teams. Exceptional communication, problemsolving, and team leadership skills. Proficiency with HRIS platforms and the use of people data to drive strategic decisionmaking. A peoplefirst mindset grounded in empathy, curiosity, and continuous improvement. CHRP or CHRL designation is considered an asset.
