Overview Requisition ID: 179587 Job Level: Mid Level Home District/Group: Kiewit Infrastructure Engineers Department: Design Engineering Market: Transportation Employment Type: Full Time Position Overview Kiewit Infrastructure Engineering (KIE) has an immediate opening for a mid-level Design Engineering Manager in the transportation / energy area, with an immediate opening on the Union Station Expansion Project (USEP) in downtown Toronto . You will be part of our rapidly growing Infrastructure Design Department, which includes structural, geotechnical, civil, drainage, roadway, rail, and materials disciplines. KIE is a multi-faceted division of Kiewit with best-in-class technical expertise focused on design-build and other collaborative delivery of infrastructure projects. Location The USEP opportunity is located in downtown Toronto Responsibilities Lead team of Kiewit design engineers, subconsultants and partners. Manage schedule and budget to ensure successful outcomes. Manage deliverables, quality and compliance. Participate/lead constructability reviews and the resolution of technical challenges. Interface with construction project leadership. Interface with other Kiewit operating districts. Identify design-build opportunities and develop win strategy for capture. Interface and maintain relationships with external design partners. Support pursuits of design-build and alternate delivery projects from strategy to award. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of experience with focus on design, construction or design-build management in the transportation and/or energy infrastructure area. Bachelor''''s degree in civil engineering or related engineering degree. P. Eng is required or Engineer in Training (EIT). Familiarity with design-build/alternative delivery is a plus. Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative. Strong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to get the job done right the first time. Passion for safety, with the ability to help us ensure that nobody gets hurt. Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Team player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals, and objectives. Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail. Ability to travel between 25%-50% across North America.
