Compensation: $130,000 - $150,000 Who you are : As an Investor Specialist, you will serve as a trusted communicator and relationship manager, helping Steadyhand clients make confident financial decisions through clear communication, behavioural guidance, and investment advice. You will build strong client relationships, deliver thoughtful and balanced advice across financial, behavioural, and investment dimensions, and contribute to business growth while mentoring junior colleagues and embracing technology and process improvements. What you will do : Deliver high-quality, personalized advice to clients via phone, email, video, and in-person meetings, with an emphasis on behavioural guidance, planning, and goal achievement. Demonstrate a passion for client service, proactively anticipating client needs and going the extra mile to support their financial wellbeing. Nurture and maintain client relationships by proactively answering questions, conducting regular portfolio and financial plan reviews, and implementing strategies that align with clients life moments and goals. Actively drives business growth through prospect acquisition, client referrals, and cultivating Centres of Influence (COI) relationships. Participate in strategic initiatives to expand Steadyhands reach. Support team members with account documentation, inbound phone coverage, and other operational tasks to ensure service excellence. Organize and participate in client events (seminars, webinars, educational sessions), and represent Steadyhand at industry events and online content (e.g., webinars, YouTube, blogs). Provide leadership by mentoring Associate Investor Specialists and supporting the development of next-generation talent within the firm. Embrace technology and process improvements, leveraging AI-enabled tools and the wealth portal to enhance client experience and operational efficiency. Remain registered with the applicable regulatory body and comply with all company policies, procedures, and industry regulations. What you will bring : Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degrees (e.g., MBA) are an asset. Must have or be working towards a QAFP or CFP designation. Additional credentials (e.g., CFA, CIM) are considered an asset. 10+ years of experience in financial advisory, investment planning, or wealth management. Proven track record of building and maintaining client relationships and delivering personalized financial and investment advice. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial concepts clearly. Experience in client presentations, webinars, and public speaking is an asset. Demonstrated ability to generate new business through referrals, networking, and relationship management. Experience mentoring junior team members and contributing to cross-functional initiatives.
