Position Overview The Commvault Backup & Recovery Specialist is responsible for the administration, support, optimization, and reliability of enterprise backup and recovery services across on-premises and cloud environments. This role supports business continuity, disaster recovery, and data protection objectives while working closely with infrastructure, application, and security teams. Experience with Control-M (CNTRL-M) workload scheduling is highly desirable to support backup orchestration and operational automation. Key Responsibilities Administer, configure, and support Commvault backup and recovery solutions across enterprise environments Monitor backup jobs, storage utilization, performance, and system health Troubleshoot and resolve backup, restore, and replication issues Perform regular restore testing to validate data integrity and recovery readiness Design, implement, and maintain backup policies aligned with RPO/RTO requirements Support backup operations across physical, virtual, and cloud platforms Integrate Commvault operations with Control-M for job scheduling, automation, and monitoring (where applicable) Collaborate with infrastructure, database, application, and security teams to ensure comprehensive data protection coverage Maintain documentation for backup architecture, procedures, and recovery processes Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews Support compliance, audit, and governance requirements related to data protection Participate in on-call or after-hours support rotations as required Skills & Qualifications 5-8 years of experience supporting enterprise backup and recovery solutions Deep expertise with Commvault architecture, configuration, optimization, and troubleshooting Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale backup and DR strategies Strong experience integrating Commvault with Control-M for workload automation and scheduling Advanced knowledge of cloud backup, hybrid environments, and disaster recovery planning Experience supporting databases, enterprise applications, and large-scale virtual infrastructures Ability to lead technical initiatives, mentor junior staff, and provide subject-matter expertise Strong stakeholder communication and cross-team collaboration skills Equity Statement At Compugen, we are committed to diversity, equity and inclusion.
