Job Description

Overview We are looking for an Engineering Coop to join our Projects team! The student will provide support to the Projects team in the development of automation solutions, process improvements, and industrial systems and assembling project management and planning data. Examples of previous coop student work and outcomes Data acquisition, analysis, and recommendations on pH pretreatment for our process wastewater pH management system implemented, currently testing Simulation of various robots for packaging and material handling applications project proposals sent to executive team Designing and building robot tooling tooling constructed and tested; project reworked due to changing requirements Estimating requirements for water chiller installation and drafting budgets water chiller purchased and installed LED light conversion planning, cost, and ROI converted several areas to LED Designing and testing pneumatic conveying systems work in progress Who you are Drive & Motivation You are health conscious and have values that align with Silver Hills You would love to work in an entrepreneurial environment You are enthusiastic about learning new things Character & Abilities You are comfortable taking direction but can also be a self-starter when needed You are a team player who is collaborative and communicative by nature You understand how long it takes you to accomplish tasks and can reasonably estimate time requirements You are interested in or have taken courses on robotics/automation and industrial design You are interested in health and wellness Knowledge & Skills You are comfortable in dynamics and strengths/solids You have knowledge of MS Office, 2D and 3D CAD (Inventor, AutoCAD) You are a curious person You have strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) Nice-to-have Experience in a food manufacturing environment Other You are working towards a Degree or Diploma in Mechanical/Mechatronics/Electrical (or similar) engineering You are registered or eligible to register with EGBC as a student May on occasion work at various times and at various locations within Abbotsford including evenings and weekends as the job requires Valid drivers license (class 5 or 7N) Perks Training & Development Employee Discounts On-site parking #J-18808-Ljbffr
