Salary: Up to $85K+ Key Responsibilities Reviewing file materials and assisting in drafting assessments. Initiating the organization of and managing files or parts of files, including requesting, indexing, and organizing documentary productions. Assisting the Firms lawyers with drafting pleadings, document production, drafting motions, mediation briefs, pre-trial briefs and preparing for hearings and trials ensuring that all parties are served. Reviewing and summarizing transcripts of examinations for discovery for undertakings, refusals, and assembly of answers to undertakings. Corresponding with all counsel to ensure that all productions are received including liability productions from co-defendants and damage productions from plaintiffs. Providing support on matters related to professional negligence, product liability, motor vehicle accidents, slip and falls claims. Ability to communicate effectively and act as liaison between the client and lawyer for day-to-day matters. Qualifications 5+ years of experience working on Defence files. Confidential nature with a professional attitude. Works well independently and within a team. Solid understanding of the Rules of Civil Procedure. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with minimal supervision. Strong organizational and communication skills.
