About the Position: The Construction Project Manager focuses on projects in western Canada and oversees construction teams across all project phases, including development initiatives, coordinating supply chain activities, handling project accounting, and driving successful construction execution. Responsibilities Manage day-to-day construction activities on multiple projects to meet schedule and budget targets Lead a team of external construction project managers Coordinate internal resources to support Supply Chain management for Owner Furnished equipment and resources Advocate safety as a top priority on the jobsite and enforce compliance with safety plans, policies, and regulations Establish entitlements to support data center developments, including building permits and AHJ processes Identify expedited permit opportunities and work with local jurisdictions to meet timelines; source local experts and develop key relationships Collaborate with construction team project managers on permit dates and coordinate accordingly Work with design and construction teams to provide schedules to achieve project milestones Build relationships to enhance Cologixs leadership in the industry Collaborate with internal and external teams to enhance processes and protocols Operate effectively as a team player in internal and external environments Demonstrate strong planning skills and proactive partnering Assist in preparing construction and development estimates, budgets, and unit cost reports Lead the project team in planning and conduct pre-award and pre-construction meetings Participate in value engineering, negotiation, and preparation of project scopes and contracts Review plans and specs for completeness and plan successful contract execution Oversee procurement, buyout, and submittals; ensure budgets are maintained and aligned with the schedule Monitor cost, safety, quality, and schedule performance; manage risk and ensure project quality Negotiate change orders and manage cost implications Review and approve monthly pay requests Coordinate with accounting on payments and lien releases; lead regular job cost reviews Work with commissioning teams to ensure turnover to customers Coordinate final closeout procedures, including as-built drawings and substantial completion Track project costs and contingencies within financial software Able to solve problems at tactical and functional levels Provide data-driven action plans for executive decision making Mitigate risk through pre-planning and proactive partnering Qualifications Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field 7+ years of experience in construction / construction management 5+ years of experience in the mission-critical industry Exceptional organizational and time management skills Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills Leadership and people management skills Willingness to travel domestically for project and team needs Experience with Microsoft Office, cloud-based commissioning software, and financial management software Available to travel to sites in Vancouver and Calgary Authorized to work for any employer in Canada (we are unable to sponsor or transfer sponsorship at this time) Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
