Our client is a multidisciplinary consulting organization and they are seeking a senior-level environmental professional to lead and expand their Site Assessment and Remediation practice on Vancouver Island. This leadership role may be based in Victoria or another Island location. You will be responsible for guiding a growing team, overseeing complex environmental projects, and strengthening the firms presence across Vancouver Island. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping local strategy while contributing to the long-term vision of the broader environmental practice. Key Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and support a team of environmental professionals, fostering technical excellence and leadership development. Provide project oversight for contaminated sites investigations and remediation projects. Manage project execution to ensure regulatory compliance, quality standards, timelines, and client expectations are met. Build and maintain strong client relationships and actively contribute to business growth and regional market development. Collaborate with professionals across multiple disciplines to deliver integrated environmental and engineering solutions. Develop creative, practical approaches to environmental challenges within applicable regulatory frameworks. Provide environmental input to support planning, design, and decision-making for projects. Coordinate and manage specialty subcontractors and external consultants as required. Promote a strong safety culture, including the development and enforcement of site-specific health and safety plans. Qualifications & Experience 10 years of progressive experience in contaminated sites consulting. Demonstrated leadership capability; formal people management experience is considered an asset. Eligible for or registered with a recognized professional body, such as: BC Institute of Agrologists (P.Ag.) College of Applied Biology (R.P.Bio.) Or an equivalent professional designation Experience working with Indigenous communities and/or government agencies. Strong problem-solving skills with a pragmatic, solutions-focused mindset.
