Job Description

Lead Engineer, Civil / Multi-Disciplinary, Water Join to apply for the Lead Engineer, Civil / Multi-Disciplinary, Water role at WSP in Canada. The role will involve leading the design and contract management of pump stations, reservoirs, and intake/outlet infrastructure in our Vancouver Howe Street office. Responsibilities Lead design and construction management of municipal water and wastewater pump station, reservoir and bulk water projects. Conduct planning, feasibility studies, preliminary design, detailed design and constructability assessments. Manage projects of small, medium and large scale, including workload coordination and resource allocation. Direct technical analysis, design, construction administration and preparation of technical reports for design projects. Prepare accurate and timely financial status reports for clients and WSP leadership. Uphold quality policies and procedures set by WSP and the client. Ensure compliance with professional and construction contract terms and monitor subcontractors commitments. Mentor and support detailed design teams. Engage directly with client personnel and approval agencies, providing exceptional service. Lead the analysis, design and preparatory work for bulk potable water pipelines, sewage pipelines and reticulation infrastructure projects. Use integrated 3D design tools to ensure accuracy in design. Identify and develop opportunities, write proposals and support presentations related to water infrastructure projects. Qualifications 10+ years of technical engineering skills in bulk potable water pipelines, sewage pipelines (force main and gravity main) and reticulation infrastructure design. Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Masters degree is a plus. Professional Engineer or eligibility for registration with PEO. Previous experience managing and delivering civil engineering design projects. Demonstrated ability to plan, develop, coordinate and direct large projects and pursuits with complex features. Understanding of how to financially manage projects. Ability to work independently; and Ability to mentor junior staff. Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to conduct effective presentations and prepare written reports and documents.
