Base pay range CA$55.00/hr - CA$65.00/hr Direct message the job poster from Vaco by Highspring Executive Recruiter | Finance & Accounting This is a 3 month contract role with possibility of extension Position Summary: The Finance Business Partner is a key liaison between finance and operational teams, providing insightful financial analysis and decision support to drive business performance. This role requires advanced proficiency in Excel and SAP for reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling. Key Responsibilities: Partner with department heads to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning cycles. Analyze financial performance, variances, and trends, providing actionable insights and recommendations. Prepare monthly management reports, dashboards, and KPI tracking using Excel and SAP. Use SAP to extract and reconcile financial data; ensure data accuracy and integrity across systems. Build and maintain complex financial models in Excel to support business decisions and strategic initiatives. Participate in month-end close activities, including accruals, journal entries, and cost center reviews. Monitor and report on cost control, profitability, and return on investment (ROI) metrics. Support business cases, project evaluations, and investment appraisals. Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, HR, and procurement to align financial goals. Identify process improvement opportunities and support the implementation of financial best practices. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred. 4+ years of experience in financial planning & analysis, business partnering, or related finance roles. Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Power Query, dashboards, macros). Strong working knowledge of SAP (especially SAP FI/CO, and reporting modules like SAP BW or BEx). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to explain complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Preferred Experience: Experience in manufacturing, retail, consumer goods, or services industry. Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is an asset. Experience with digital transformation or automation projects in finance is a plus.
