Our client is seeking licensed Millwright professionals for a full-time permanent opportunity based out of Scarborough, ON. They have various shift options available: days, overnights, or continental. All candidates must have: 433A certification Continuous process production line experience Experience with preventative maintenance Asset: Papermill and/or Packaging Industry experience Afternoons: 50 cents Our client is open to 4th year apprentices with corrugated packaging experience. Job Duties & Responsibilities This role involves precision work, mechanical aptitude, and a deep understanding of how different machines operate: Install and assemble machinery and equipment according to blueprints, technical manuals, and engineering specifications. Conduct routine maintenance on machinery to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance. Replace or repair defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments. Analyze machinery malfunctions and implement effective troubleshooting procedures. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment. Conduct safety inspections and implement corrective measures. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment modifications. Perform welding and fabrication tasks to modify or create components as needed and interpret welding symbols and blueprints. Coordinate with other maintenance personnel, engineers, and production teams to optimize machinery performance. Provide input for equipment upgrades and modifications. Train and mentor junior millwrights or apprentices. Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements. We thank you in advance for your application!
