Overview Are you a skilled QA Automation Developer passionate about delivering high-quality digital services in complex, evolving environments? Location: Primarily Remote, with occasional meetings in Edmonton (Alberta, Canada) Contract: Estimated 1,960 hours over term (approx. 24 months) Schedule: Full-time, flexible based on project needs What Youll Do Lead quality assurance in delivery of digital services across multiple projects Create detailed test plans, test cases, and scenarios for manual and automated testing Design and implement system, load/performance, and security tests Develop and maintain automated test suites supporting frequent feature delivery Support adoption of quality practices such as BDD/TDD, code linting, and test coverage Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile environments to ensure quality is embedded throughout development Help define and collect service quality metrics and automate reporting Support innovation with reusable test components, test databases, and AI-assisted testing Qualifications 2+ years coding and developing automation scripts 3+ years experience creating/modifying automated test scripts and plans 3+ years working with automation testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress) Experience with GitHub and version control (2+ years) Knowledge of load, performance, and security testing (3+ years) Familiarity with API testing and tools such as Postman (preferred) Experience with Cucumber/Gherkin and Behavior Driven Development (nice to have) Experience with QA automation metrics and standards implementation Knowledge of Jira/Xray and User Acceptance Testing processes Experience with Cypress automation framework Familiarity with QA automation standards and organizational implementation Exposure to security clearance processes and government environments Experience with automated testing in Agile delivery teams About the Role Join a dynamic digital delivery division that is driving modernization and innovation and will directly impact how Albertans experience efficient, accessible, and secure public programs.
