Infrastructure contractor has an opening for a Project Manager (Tunnels) to join their team in Vancouver. Outpost Recruitment is excited to work with our client on this full-time permanent role. The Project Manager (Tunnels) Role Lead and inspire your teams to achieve excellence through professional development, confidence, and encouragement. Provide constructive feedback to Project Managers and Coordinators to support their growth. Collaborate with Human Resources to attract top talent and foster an engaging, sustainable work environment. Oversee project execution from start to finish, maintaining rigorous controls, assessing risks, and leading your team effectively. Coordinate trade partner activities and select suitable partners. Manage projects by advising and supporting Project Delivery Teams, ensuring schedules and budgets are met. Build and maintain strong relationships with trade partners, consultants, and clients to achieve project goals. Encourage efficiency and proactive problem-solving within your team. Negotiate effectively to achieve positive outcomes while prioritizing project objectives. Promote and uphold the company''''s health, safety, and environmental standards in collaboration with the HS&E team. Ensure compliance with quality standards through attention to detail and a methodical approach. Utilize your financial management skills to plan and control project budgets. Apply your risk management expertise to minimize project risks. Experience and Requirements of Project Manager (Tunnels): 10+ years experience in civil construction, especially tunnels, underground works, deep shafts, earth stabilization, metro, and rail projects. University Degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proven track record of successful project delivery and team leadership. Excellent communication and organizational skills; ability to influence and resolve issues effectively. Strong knowledge of tunnel construction methods such as TBM (rock and soft ground), SEM/NATM, cut and cover, road header, and micro-tunneling. Knowledge of geology and geotechnical engineering. Experience managing large-scale projects in partnership environments. Experience with alternative delivery methods like Design-Build and P3. Understanding of financial management, building codes, and legislation. Passion for team development and organizational growth. Proficiency with scheduling software and good computer skills. This position is based in Vancouver, BC, with the ability to work across the lower mainland area. Frequent travel is required.
