Overview Manager, Community Health Services One (1) Non-Unionized, Permanent Full-Time Position. Existing Vacancy. Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm. Compensation: $39.40/hour - $45.89/hour. About Cota: Cota is an accredited not-for-profit organization that has been providing community-based support to people living with mental health and cognitive challenges for over 50 years. Services include case management, supportive housing and adult day program services, serving over 4,000 people/year. A full listing of services can be viewed on our website at https://cotainspires.ca/. Role and Team Role: Manager, Community Health Services. Focus: leadership in development and delivery of high-quality, user- and family-centred services; safety; and quality improvement. Portfolio to include Toronto West Integrated Service Team (TWIST) and Boarding Home West (BHW). Team: Boarding Home West Program supports tenants with serious mental illness in boarding homes/apartments; team includes Site Support Workers and a/Mental Health Case Manager. Toronto West Integrated Service Team supports service users with serious mental illness in West Toronto; multidisciplinary team with multiple Case Managers and a Community Supportive Housing Worker. Responsibilities Provide leadership direction, clinical and operational oversight; ensure services align with Recovery Oriented, Housing First, Harm Reduction and Anti-Oppression principles Collaborate with Directors and leadership on Program Development and Quality Improvement activities Oversee recruitment, training, supervision of staff; provide administrative and clinical support to frontline providers Build relationships with community partners and external stakeholders; represent Cota at external groups Lead program evaluation; collect and analyze data; identify and implement quality improvement initiatives Oversee program budgets with internal support; manage staff wellness and performance Schedule staff; conduct regular performance evaluations Develop standards/guidelines and provide education on program operating standards Keep the Director informed of delivery issues; provide problem solving and solution identification Approve staff expenses, mileage, vacation requests, and payroll attendance; authorize program expenditures per policies Participate in Clinical Leadership Team planning and organization-wide activities; serve on Cota Leadership Forum Act as a member of the organizations leadership forums Qualifications Education and Experience: Degree/Diploma in a related Health Care or Social Service discipline Strong clinical skills with at least 5 years experience providing community-based services to individuals with serious mental illness, addictions, and complex health conditions At least 3 years of supervisory and program management experience with an interdisciplinary team Experience in hiring, training, supervising and retaining staff; networking with partners; and working in a unionized environment in a supervisory capacity Current registration in good standing with the respective professional college (e.g., OT, SW, RN) is an asset Knowledge & Skills: Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills; team building and coaching Knowledge of Intensive Case Management; evidence-based practices in mental health and addiction, including recovery and harm reduction Ability to work with individuals with complex needs; solution-focused; culturally competent Knowledge of information management, quality improvement, benchmarks, and evaluation; strong reporting skills Familiarity with TREAT electronic health record, OCAN and OPOC reporting is an asset; proficient in Microsoft Office Other Flexibility to work varied patterns; evenings/weekends may be required Member of the Manager-On-Call system on a rotating basis Benefits After a three-month eligibility period, permanent staff working >20 hours/week are eligible for employer-paid group insurance benefits (Extended health care, Life insurance, AD&D, Dental, Travel assistance, Vision care).
