Base pay range CA$40.00/hr - CA$48.00/hr Job Title: Talend Developer Location: Toronto, ON (3x onsite a week) Employment Type: Contract Pay Rate: CAD$40 - $48/HR INC Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled Talend Lead Developer to design, implement, and optimize ETL workflows that support our enterprise data integration needs. The ideal candidate will lead data engineering initiatives, ensure data quality, and collaborate with crossfunctional teams to deliver scalable and reliable solutions. Key Responsibilities Design and implement ETL workflows using Talend Data Integration. Extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources including databases, flat files, and APIs. Optimize ETL jobs for efficiency, scalability, and reliability. Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver tailored data solutions. Perform data validation, quality checks, and ensure data integrity across systems. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in ETL processes promptly. Partner with BI teams and data analysts to support reporting and analytics needs. Maintain comprehensive documentation for ETL processes, data flows, and technical specifications. Required Skills & Qualifications Strong expertise in Talend Data Integration and ETL development. Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL, and SQL Server. Strong expertise in handling EBCDIC files and Talend Data Mapper. Experience with APIs, flat files, and cloudbased data sources. Proven ability to optimize ETL workflows for performance and scalability. Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and BI tools. Excellent problemsolving and troubleshooting skills. Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities. Experience leading or mentoring a team of developers is a plus. Preferred Experience Exposure to big data platforms such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka, or cloud data services like AWS, Azure, or GCP. Familiarity with data governance and security best practices.
