Summary of Responsibilites Independent completion of small audit, review and compilation files and related tax preparation On larger engagements, beginning to prepare more complex areas of the file Draft corporate tax returns and prepare appropriate tax checklists Prepare personal tax returns including gathering, sorting and entering client information into TaxPrep Builds effective working relationships in assignments with operational client contacts Responds effectively to client requests Begin to perform research and prepare more complex opinions for technical conclusions on client engagements Provide suggestions related to an assignment or project In house assignments such as accounting research or office administration May support and coach junior staff members or staff accountants on the team Summary of Experience Public accounting experience 3+ years experience with tax and audit Requirements: Teamwork and the ability to support team goals Strong commitment to quality and accuracy Completion of a University Accounting degree and working towards obtaining their CPA designation Development of a business advisor mindset is important Thorough understanding of ASPE, CAS and Canadian Tax to be able to complete the more complex areas of an engagement. Experience with IFRS and ASPE preferred Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate with external clients Possess strong project management skills and organization, with the ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Caseware, Jazz-it, Tax Prep, QuickBooks and Simply Accounting #J-18808-Ljbffr
