The company has experienced strong yearoveryear growth, recently secured additional investment to expand its product suite, and has been recognized nationally for innovation and impact within the financial wellness space. What Youll Do Build and refine Rails features that improve reliability and reduce technical debt Partner with your pod to align priorities and choose what meaningfully moves the product forward Work with another senior to investigate data issues and validate root causes across services Dive into SQL, logs, or metrics to confirm how systems behave under real conditions Review pull requests with clarity and coach teammates on cleaner patterns or decisions Communicate decisions in a way that keeps engineers and nontechnical partners aligned Basic Qualifications Seniorlevel Ruby on Rails capability, demonstrated through production systems that handle real concurrency and scale Strong SQL fluency applied to diagnosing data behaviour, validating assumptions, and resolving rootcause issues in complex flows Consistent engineering communication that makes decisions and tradeoffs easy to follow Preferred Qualifications Experience with BI or ETL tools such as Metabase or Looker Comfort with React or React Native Exposure to fintech, payroll, or other regulated environments A background in productbased teams rather than pure consulting The Challenges Some features rely on data coming from many places, so you will need to confirm what is actually happening before making changes Communication clarity matters here because teammates depend on your reasoning as much as your code The pods stay intentionally lean, so progress often comes from choosing the right problem rather than taking on everything at once Your Impact Strengthen the reliability of financial workflows so customers experience fewer blocked payouts and support handles fewer urgent tickets Reduce production risks by catching data issues early, giving the engineering pod calmer releases and leadership fewer compliance worries Improve crossteam clarity by translating technical decisions into plain language, helping product and care ship smoother changes Seniority level: MidSenior level Employment type: Fulltime Job function: Information Technology Industries: Software Development #J-18808-Ljbffr
