Senior Civil Engineer - Power Delivery Stantec is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join our Western Canadian Power Delivery team. As a technical leader, you will emphasize excellence, work closely with the design team, and provide the technical leadership required to deliver projects that exceed client expectations. You will champion quality and continuous improvement. Your Key Responsibilities Design underground infrastructure for power utilities to meet project requirements. Develop design solutions that meet all applicable codes, standards and regulations. Lead technical design discussions, internally and externally, to ensure scope objectives are met. Review and authenticate drawings for power distribution projects. Provide construction support. Support development of proposals, project cost estimates and project schedules. Manage external client relationships through effective and proactive communication. Identify potential safety or environmental concerns and initiate appropriate action. Provide coaching, mentorship, and guidance to project team members. Provide technical guidance to customers, stakeholders, and external consultants. Travel and perform site visits as required. Your Capabilities and Credentials Registered as a P.Eng in Canada. Demonstrated technical proficiency in underground utility infrastructure design. Strong understanding of civil earthworks, grading and drainage designs and requirements. Effective interpersonal skills strong written and verbal skills are vital. Able to work effectively independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment. Strong time management and prioritization skills. Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to set priorities, organize work and complete work within given timelines. Proficiency with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Civil 3D. Valid Class5 Drivers License. Education and Experience Bachelors degree in civil engineering. Current P.Eng in Canada is required. Minimum of 8 years of experience designing underground utility infrastructure within North America. Experience working with a Power utility is an asset; BC Hydro experience strongly preferred. Pay Range Locations Outside of Lower Mainland BC: $105,400.00 $158,100.00 Annually Locations in Lower Mainland BC: $111,700.00 $167,600.00 Annually Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. The final agreed compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. Certain roles are bonus eligible. Partialtime compensation will be prorated.
