About the opportunity Were seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with an emphasis in Security to help secure and scale the next generation of blockchain infrastructure. How you will make an impact Youll embed security controls and compliance checks into CI/CD pipelines across blockchain infrastructure. Youll design, harden, and monitor hybrid infrastructure, including baremetal, onprem, and cloud environments. Collaborating with team members on system upgrades, deployments, and issue resolution. Youll collaborate with our Security Architect to assess risk, define secure configurations, and drive defenseindepth strategies. Youll automate everythingfrom node provisioning to SSL renewalsusing tools like Ansible, Terraform, and Helm. Youll manage and secure blockchain validator nodes (e.g., Layers1 &2), ensuring high availability and ZERO trust network posture. Youll handle key and certificate lifecycle operations, including TLS/SSL renewals, secrets governance, and access control policies. Youll contribute to observability and incident response, using platforms like Datadog and custom dashboards. Participate in the oncall rotation for monitoring, alerting, and incident response for production blockchain deployments. Collaborate with protocol teams to deploy and launch new blockchain protocols. Youll audit and continuously improve infrastructure security against industry standards like CIS and NIST. Youll lead/mentor crossteam initiatives to strengthen our overall security posture and operational excellence. What you bring to the team 5+ years in DevOps, Platform Engineering, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering, with at least 3 years in DevSecOps or Security Engineering with strong handson skills. Strong expertise in Linux systems, networking, and secure architecture design. Used to deep shell / Python / Go / IaC. Proven success managing hybrid environments (baremetal and cloud). Deep knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automated provisioning. Experience managing SSL/TLS certificates, secrets, and identity lifecycle. Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes). Handson understanding of firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems. Excellent collaboration and communication skills. You make security approachable, not bureaucratic. A proactive mindset, incredible criticalthinking, you see risks early and turn them into plans and drive it as opportunities for improvement, always sharing and mentoring your teammates. Even better if you have (optional) Experience operating Blockchain Layer1 &2 and addons features on blockchain network ecosystems. Knowledge of Zero Trust security models or distributed keysharing frameworks. Exposure to SOC2 or ISO27001 compliance initiatives. Experience building or integrating custom security tooling. Familiarity with hardware security modules (HSMs) and cryptographic key management Hashicorp Vault systems. Compensation Base salary: CAD $170,000 $190,000 per annum. The range reflects base salary only and does not include additional compensation or benefits.
