What youll do As an Intermediate Frontend Engineer, you will be working across the entire Brex stack, creating and maintaining new products, features, and building tools to help scale Brex. You will have the opportunity to learn and push the frontier of providing the best financial software experience to help companies grow. Youll be encouraged to be metric and datadriven and to think creatively to help Brex scale and get prepared for the new markets we are about to enter. Where youll work This role will be based in our New York office. We are a hybrid environment that combines the energy and connections of being in the office with the benefits and flexibility of working from home. We currently require a minimum of two coordinated days in the office per week, Wednesday and Thursday. Starting February 2, 2026, we will require 3 days per week in the office - Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. As a perk, we also have up to four weeks per year of fully remote work! Responsibilities Work with engineers across the company to build new features and products. Work sidebyside with user facing teams (Sales, Support) to best understand the needs of our customers. Design and implement experiments to improve our customers experiences. Own problems endtoend, thinking through everything from user experience, data models, scalability, operability and ongoing metrics. Tune and polish features to a high-degree of excellence. Requirements Experience architecting, developing, and testing clientside code end to end Experience developing software for the Web platform, including crossbrowser compatibility Experience with modern tools like ES6+, React, GraphQL, & Webpack Uphold our high engineering standards Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Bonus points Experience collaborating with specialists in product, design, and operations Experience with developing in React Native for mobile Basic experience with design tools Great writing skills Proactive approach. Compensation The expected salary range for this role is $152,000 - $190,000 + equity. However, the starting base pay will depend on a number of factors including the candidates location, skills, experience, market demands, and internal pay parity.
