Job Title: Sustainability (LEED & Green Infrastructure) and ESG Lead Location: Kinshasa Reports to: Chief Stakeholder Relations Management Officer Type of Contract: Expat Position Summary: Infrarose is recruiting a committed and experienced Sustainability and ESG Lead to drive the integration of environmental and social responsibility into its infrastructure projects, with a primary focus on the modernization of Ndjili International Airport in Kinshasa. Reporting to the Chief Stakeholder Relations Management Officer, the role combines oversight of LEED certification with strategic leadership over social impact initiatives, including community engagement, social risk mitigation, and local benefitsharing. Key Responsibilities: 1 - Strategic Sustainability Leadership Design and implement a sustainability and ESG strategy in line with LEED certification 2 - LEED Certification Management Lead LEED certification processes Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and contractors to ensure LEED documentation is accurate, timely, and aligned with project goals. 3 - Environmental Compliance & Best Practice Ensure compliance with DRCs national environmental laws and international standards. Supervise environmental impact assessments (EIA), lifecycle analysis, and other regulatory submissions in coordination with consultants and authorities. Work closely with project teams, technical leads, and stakeholder relations staff to integrate sustainability into all aspects of project execution. Support the CSRMO in engaging institutional stakeholders (e.g., RVA, ministries) on sustainabilityrelated commitments. 5 - Capacity Building & Knowledge Management Lead internal capacity building on sustainability, including training of site staff and technical teams on LEED principles Build a database of sustainability practices and documentation that can be shared with stakeholders. 6 - Communication & Reporting Prepare periodic sustainability performance reports and dashboards for senior management and government partners Support stakeholder communication strategies by contributing sustainability narratives, data, and visuals for presentations and public engagement. Qualifications: Advanced degree (Masters or equivalent) in Environmental Science, Architecture, Urban Planning, or a related discipline. Minimum 5/8 years of experience in sustainability, with at least 3 years leading LEEDcertified infrastructure projects. Experience working in emerging or African markets is highly desirable. Bilingual (French and English) strongly preferred. Key Attributes: Proven leadership in managing environmental and social risks in complex infrastructure environments.
