With a strong pipeline of projects secured, we are seeking a highly motivated Fire Protection Engineer to join our growing Vancouver team. As a key member of our team, you will lead the design and delivery of fire protection systems for a variety of small, medium, and largescale building projects. This includes sprinkler systems, fire suppression, and fire alarm systems, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and standards. Key Responsibilities Lead the design and delivery of fire protection systems for a variety of building projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards. Qualifications Legally entitled to live and work in Canada. Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with a demonstrated minimum of four years of experience in fire protection design, enabling you to serve as the projects Engineer of Record. Proficiency in Revit is highly desirable. Proven experience across the full project lifecycle. Strong understanding of relevant fire protection codes and standards (NFPA, building codes, etc.). Familiarity with industrystandard software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and hydraulic calculation tools. Ability to verify design work completed by others and provide mentoring, coaching, and training to less experienced engineers. Experience with field review of mechanical and plumbing installations with the ability to defect work and provide quality inspections on behalf of NDY or the client. Strong technical background that you want to continue to build on with experience across different market sectors including residential, office, education and the like. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate information of a complex nature both verbally and in writing with all stakeholders across multiple disciplines including colleagues and clients. Additional Capabilities (Optional) Team and project leadership experience and ability to manage resources, financial performance, and delivery of multidiscipline projects as a project leader and as the key interface with our clients. Strong relationships with local clients and industry partners. Proven business development experience and workwinning track record.
