Join to apply for the Engineering Project Coordinator role at T & T Supermarket Reporting to the Engineering Project Manager, the Project Coordinator is responsible to ensure various projects are delivered on time or ahead of the planned schedule in the region. T&T Supermarket Inc. was founded in 1993 with two stores in BC. Since then, it has expanded rapidly and is now Canadas largest Asian supermarket chain with 33 stores across the country: 14 in BC, 7 in Alberta, 11 in Ontario, and 1 in Quebec. The Companys continuous expansion is going to bring more new stores in the next couple of years. Responsibilities Provide assistance to Project Manager in the coordination, scheduling, reporting and quality control functions Monitor project progress on a regular basis, ensure projects are delivered on schedules Supervise progress of on-site construction, minimize circumstances leading to project delay Interpret and read technical drawings, drawing records, subsequent revisions Maintain all projects related documentation, including but not limited to records of all testing and inspections, licensing, and permit requirements, etc Maintain regular communication with relevant T&T internal departments/stores and outside trades/contractors/vendors Perform any other duties assigned by the superior(s) Ability to travel as required Qualifications Bachelors degree/College diploma related to Engineering or related disciplines Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the construction industry Good working knowledge in project management, including cost control, scheduling, standards, corporate policies, and procedures Ability to operate CAD design software is a MUST Able to interpret and read blueprints and other technical documents Proficient in Microsoft office programs Possess mechanical and electrical knowledge is an asset Familiar with local stipulations and legal compliance is an asset Have a high level of integrity and work ethics; able to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and ability to communicate in Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin) is an asset Possess a valid drivers license Employee Benefits Extended healthcare Life and AD&D Insurance Paid annual leave, sick leave, marriage leave and bereavement leave Staff purchase discount Discounted staff meals Shift 5 day work week (Monday to Friday, 9:00 am 5:30 pm) Seniority Level Mid-Senior level Employment Type Full-time Job Function Project Management and Information Technology Industries Retail Groceries Location & Salary Toronto, Ontario, Canada CA$70,000.00CA$90,000.00 #J-18808-Ljbffr
