Your Key Responsibilities Lead engineering project design and delivery for major healthcare projects, typically ranging from 80,000 to 800,000 square feet. Interface regularly with architectural and engineering leaders across North America to thrive within the integrated design practice. Serve as a local leader to inspire our team, represent healthcare design, and reinforce the global brand of Stantec. Grow revenue within your region and the North American market, attracting toptier clients and achieving topline growth for the health sector. Collaborate with technical and managerial project leads to achieve key operational performance metricsincluding traditional financial metrics and improved health outcomes. Lead local and regional business development pursuits and business planning, including prepositioning and strategic proposal development inclusive of interior design, medical planning, architecture, and engineering professionals. Act as a sellerdoer, generating work, creating longterm relationships, and delivering longterm value to clients. Develop and maintain industry relationships and visibility with current and prospective clients, subconsultants, competitor/teaming partners, and potential recruits. Contribute to thought leadership and the Stantec brand by sharing knowledge and innovation stories at key client engagements, industry events, and across professional networks. Support recruitment and retention efforts for toptier staff across the organization. Mentor and coach the next generation of designers and thought leaders, while receiving mentorship from our established team. Capabilities and Credentials Recent experience in healthcare with an interest in specialties such as Acute Care, Outpatient Care, Womens Health, Behavioral Health/Mental Health, Cancer/Proton Therapy, and Long Term Care projects. Acumen related to project delivery innovations in IPD, APD, modular approaches, and related advancements. Demonstrated design and planning acumen and leadership on major projects. Ability to lead project teams across a range of healthcare project types and scales while maintaining a balanced book of business. Technical understanding of Electrical Engineering for health facilities, with direct design experience in Power, Lighting, and Low Voltage systems. Experience with strategic prepositioning for pursuits, including engagement strategies, responses to Expression of Interests, Statements of Qualifications, Requests for Proposals, formal interviews, and fee/contract negotiations. Strong business development skills and a proven ability to generate work and build longterm client value. An entrepreneurial orientation with a deep understanding of the business development challenges of a consultingservices provider. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent organization, coordination, leadership, teambuilding, and team engagement talent. Knowledge of market assessment techniques and insights, and the ability to create aspirational and achievable business plans. Education and Experience Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent. 15+ years of experience in the AEC industry. Licensed and credentialed Engineer preferred. Experience in Mechanical systems highly preferred. LEED AP credential preferred. Project Management Professional certification a plus. ASHRAE Healthcare Facility Design Professional (HFDP) or similar engineeringdiscipline certification a plus. Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather. Pay Range Locations Outside of Lower Mainland BC Min Salary $121,500.00 Max Salary $182,200.00 Locations in Lower Mainland BC Min Salary $128,800.00 Max Salary $193,100.00 Pay Transparency In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. The final agreed compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. Some roles are bonus eligible. Parttime compensation is prorated based on agreed working hours per week.
