Our client has already hired over 1,000 Braintrust talent and plans to hire hundreds more. Many Braintrust subjectmatter experts earn over $12,000/month. Youll have the flexibility to work as much or as little as you choose 20hrs/week suggested but not required. Your final hourly rate will be chosen by Outlier AI and determined by your location. Required Qualifications Masters degree and/or PhD in Industrial Engineering Strong understanding of: Operations research Optimization methods Supply chain systems Manufacturing processes Quality engineering & process improvement Ability to critique and explain complex technical concepts in clear English Preferred Qualifications Research or industry experience in optimization, simulation, or systems engineering Experience analyzing workflows, statistical models, or industrial systems Familiarity with programming or analytical tools (Python, R, MATLAB, or similar) Experience teaching or documenting technical material What Youll Be Working On Projects will focus on helping train AI large language models (LLMs) to better understand Industrial Engineering concepts, methods, and reasoning. Example tasks may include: Evaluating AI-generated explanations of optimization, forecasting, and system design Reviewing analyses related to supply chain networks or operations research Assessing methodologies, calculations, and technical accuracy Writing clear explanations of tradeoffs in engineering decisions Reviewing step-by-step reasoning for correctness No prior AI experience needed!
