About the Role The Assistant Reconditioning Manager supports the Reconditioning Manager in overseeing the Detailing Shop, ensuring all reconditioning tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. This hands-on leadership role involves supervising the detailing team, maintaining a clean and safe workspace, and upholding our commitment to exceptional quality and service. Key Responsibilities: Team Supervision & Operations: Lead, train, and support the detailing team, ensuring adherence to all procedures and safety standards. Delegate tasks, monitor progress, and ensure all vehicles are detailed to company and manufacturer standards. Manage team Time & Attendance records accurately, ensuring proper scheduling and coverage. Open and close Service Orders (SOs) as required for reconditioning work. Works with the Internals Service Advisor Detailing & Quality Control: Duties include vacuuming and steam cleaning interiors and detailing vehicle interiors, washing, and polishing exteriors, and carrying out minor repairs to damaged paint work. Inspect and detail new and used vehicles including washing, waxing, vacuuming, steam cleaning, deodorizing, and touch-up work. Conduct quality control inspections on completed vehicles, using tools and flashlights to check for thoroughness and detail. Ensure all work is completed prior to vehicle delivery or showroom display. Maintain records related to vehicle condition and fuel levels. Safety & Compliance: Ensure compliance with all health and safety protocols, including monthly inspections. Ensure team members wear proper safety footwear and adhere to dress code. Report all incidents or injuries to management immediately. Facility & Equipment Maintenance: Assist with general shop and facility upkeep including cleaning floors, walls, lunchroom, restrooms, and maintaining trash bins. Ensure all shop equipment is maintained in good working order. Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with the Reconditioning Manager, Service Department, and Merchandiser to coordinate vehicle preparation schedules. Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure smooth operations and address any issues proactively. Additional Duties: Support lot maintenance including snow removal, salting, and trash management on Attrell-owned properties. Perform other non-vehicle cleaning tasks as assigned by management. Remain on-site until all detailing work is completed for the day. What We''re Looking For: Proven leadership experience managing a team in a fast-paced environment (Dealership or assistance Service Manager preferred. Excellent time management and planning skills with a strong attention to detail. Ability to delegate tasks effectively and follow through to ensure completion. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Reliable, ethical, and committed to maintaining a clean and safe workplace. Knowledge of automotive repair and detailing processes is an asset. Valid Ontario G Driver''s License in good standing. Retail or service department management experience is an asset.
