Job Summary We are looking for a dependable Line Cook / Prep Cook to join our team at a new Kerala restaurant in Guelph. This role is suitable for someone who has knowledge or familiarity with Kerala cuisine, even if they do not have extensive restaurant experience. We are willing to train the right candidate who is motivated and interested in learning traditional Kerala cooking. The ideal candidate is hardworking, organized, and able to work well in a team environment. Responsibilities Assist with daily food preparation and cooking Follow recipes and instructions from the chef Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen Help with basic cooking and prep tasks Follow food safety and hygiene standards Support kitchen operations during busy periods Work cooperatively with other kitchen staff Requirements Knowledge or familiarity with Kerala cuisine required Interest in cooking and learning Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Reliable and punctual Good teamwork skills Basic understanding of kitchen cleanliness and food safety Preferred (Not Required) Previous restaurant or kitchen experience Experience cooking Kerala or South Indian food at home or in a restaurant Food Handler Certificate What We Offer Training provided Friendly work environment Flexible scheduling Opportunity to grow with a new restaurant Competitive pay based on experience Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Casual Pay: Up to $25.00 per hour Work Location: In person
