POSITION OVERVIEW Navacord Insurance is looking for a dynamic and driven Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our growing Human Resources team. In this role, you will lead recruitment efforts for all Auto Insurance roles across the organization and spearhead campus engagement initiatives across Vancouver Island and Mainland BC. Reporting to the Manager of Talent Acquisition, you will serve as a key strategic partner to hiring managers and play an integral role in advancing our recruitment strategy. From developing sourcing plans to building meaningful relationships with educational institutions, your work will directly contribute to Navacords growth and success. This is a hybrid role based in Victoria with flexibility to work in-office or in-branch based on business needs and/or as required by management. The role involves regular travel throughout Vancouver Island to support branch visits, attend career fairs, and foster relationships with local high schools, colleges, and universities. RESPONSIBILITIES: Full Cycle Recruitment Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for assigned roles, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and selection. Conduct thorough interviews and assessments to evaluate candidates skills, experience, and cultural fit for the organization. Facilitate and coordinate candidate interviews with hiring teams, ensuring a positive and efficient candidate experience throughout the recruitment process. Collaboration & Support Provide day-to-day recruitment support and strategic input to the Manager of Talent Acquisition, contributing to broader hiring initiatives and team goals. Assist in the development and continuous improvement of recruitment processes, tools, and metrics in alignment with organizational priorities. Act as a key liaison between the Talent Acquisition team and hiring managers, ensuring alignment on recruitment timelines, priorities, and candidate profiles. Talent Pipeline Build and maintain a robust talent pipeline to proactively address future hiring needs and support ongoing organizational growth. Develop and maintain relationships with potential candidates, industry professionals, and recruitment agencies to ensure a steady flow of qualified talent. Build and maintain strong relationships with high schools, colleges, and universities on Vancouver Island and Metro Vancouver to support long-term talent pipeline development. Participate in industry events, job fairs, and networking activities to enhance the companys visibility and attract top talent. Talent Acquisition Strategy Implement comprehensive talent acquisition strategies to attract and hire high-quality candidates for all Auto Insurance roles across the organization. Collaborate with hiring managers and senior leaders to understand their recruitment needs, define job requirements, and create target recruitment plans. Utilize advanced sourcing techniques and tools to identify and engage passive candidates, including leveraging social media, professional networks, and industry connections. Additional duties and responsibilities may be added during the course of employment. REQUIREMENTS: University degree or college diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Proven experience in talent acquisition, with a focus on recruiting for diverse roles and hard-to-fill positions. Proven expertise in full-cycle recruitment, including advanced sourcing techniques and candidate assessment. Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices in talent acquisition. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with candidates and stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple recruitment projects simultaneously and work under pressure to meet deadlines. Compensation is determined by a combination of factors including a candidates experience, job-specific knowledge, and skills. Internal equity to ensure fairness across the organization and region/location is also considered.
