Job Title

The candidate for this position will be responsible for all cost-estimating operations for new programs and launches at the plant level. Responsibilities Lead development of manufacturing and tool cost estimates Identify cost opportunities and solutions to meet the required financial targets Provide cost direction to the design and development team Prepare cost estimates based on engineering sketches Work closely with the Manufacturing Division to develop the most effective manufacturing process for both manufacturing and assembly Work alongside Engineers and Program Managers Qualifications Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in Engineering and/or tool and die apprenticeship Familiarity with process controls, costing, and method planning Automotive industry experience required Good working knowledge of all phases of product manufacturing and assembly Good verbal and written communication skills Good organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills Good computer proficiency
