Come and work with a great team!The Project Manager plays an integral role to support and assist the project team in all coordination aspects of the construction of projects such as but not limited to document control, cost control, scheduling, subtrade coordination. This role reports directly to the Director of Construction and is in frequent communication with key stakeholders such as the subcontractors.MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITYMonitor and control project costs and budgets throughout the project lifeOversee the projects financial results and cash flowManage the Change Order processPROJECT OPTIMIZATIONDevelop and update Risk Plan Matrix with Senior PM or Director, and manage throughout the projectEvaluate potential project execution strategies to ensure implementation of the best sequence utilization of materials, equipment, labour and subcontractors for successful outcomesDevelop a project execution plan in collaboration with the Superintendent, General Superintendent and DirectorSchedule the project (or assume responsibility for the Schedule) using Primavera P6 to manage construction activitiesAnticipate changes (scope, drawings, trades, staff, material, etc.) and manage effectivelyTEAM MANAGEMENT / LEADERSHIPInitiate, organize, and direct the Project Team to ensure project budget, scope, and schedule are attainableCollaborate with Superintendent and Field Staff to ensure clear direction, safety and site managementLead the project team on construction methodology, procedures, and practices on an ongoing basis, in coordination with the Superintendent and General SuperintendentAdvise Executive staff monthly on status of project (using Procore)Review project progress, cost, and schedule with the project team weeklyProactively manage project activities to improve efficiency and effectivenessResolve disputes in a timely manner using conflict resolution strategiesDevelop, mentor and coach Project CoordinatorsEnsure the team understands SBWs operating policies & practices and is applying them appropriatelyMaintain a superior worksite with an emphasis on safety, ensuring SBW and OH&S standards are followed throughout all aspects of the projectCONTRACT MANAGEMENTOversee tender managementDevelop subtrade Scopes of WorkNegotiate subtrade contracts with the Director of Construction as requiredInitiative Client, Consultant, and Subtrade RelationshipsBuild successful project team and manage team cohesivenessREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESLeadership, Conflict Resolution, Mediation, and Problem-Solving SkillsExceptional Communication (written and verbal) skillsHigh Performance Team Management / TrainingPlanning and Execution ManagementCoaching and Mentoring skillsLEED, Passive House, or QA/QC would be of benefitContract Law, Lien Regulations, and Insurance & Bonding5-10 years of experience in Project ManagementCOMPUTER SKILLSProficient in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPointProficient with project management software (i.e., Procore)Proficient with Bluebeam softwareProficient with scheduling software (i.e., MS Project, Primavera P6)Familiarity with health & safety management software (i.e., WorkHub) #J-18808-Ljbffr
