Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our automotive team. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers needing vehicle service and repairs, ensuring a seamless and professional experience. This role requires strong communication skills, automotive knowledge, and the ability to upsell services to meet customer needs while maintaining excellent customer service standards. Prior dealership or mechanic experience is highly valued, along with mechanical knowledge and sales aptitude. The Service Advisor will coordinate vehicle repairs, provide estimates, and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the service process. Responsibilities Greet customers promptly and professionally upon arrival, establishing a positive rapport. Listen carefully to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues. Communicate effectively with technicians regarding repair needs and timelines. Prepare detailed service estimates and explain repair options clearly to customers. Upsell additional services or maintenance based on vehicle needs and customer preferences. Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments efficiently. Keep customers informed about repair progress and ensure timely updates. Assist in scheduling appointments and managing the flow of service work. Maintain detailed records of services performed, parts used, and customer interactions. Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by providing professional guidance and support throughout the service experience. Experience Prior dealership experience or mechanic background is preferred, providing a solid understanding of automotive systems and repairs. Mechanical knowledge to effectively communicate technical information to customers. Proven customer service skills with an emphasis on building trust and rapport. Sales experience, including upselling services to enhance revenue opportunities. Cash handling experience to manage transactions accurately. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with customers and team members.
