Our client, a reputable general contractor in the Niagara Region, is seeking an experienced Site Superintendent to lead the delivery of retail and commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate is a strong onsite leader with a track record of completing projects on time, on budget, and to a high standard of quality and safety. Key Responsibilities Oversee all daily site operations for retail and commercial construction projects from start to completion. Lead and coordinate site crews, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project milestones are met. Enforce health, safety, and environmental policies and promote a safe work culture. Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and schedules to ensure work is completed per design intent. Coordinate inspections, resolve onsite issues, and maintain communication with the project manager and client. Track site progress, prepare daily logs, and report updates on schedule, cost, and quality. Manage site logistics, deliveries, and sequencing to maximize productivity. Ensure quality workmanship and adherence to building codes and company standards. Qualifications 8+ years of experience as a Site Superintendent in retail, commercial, or tenant improvement construction. Proven experience managing interior fitouts, groundup builds, or renovations for retail and commercial clients. Strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, safety, and quality control. Excellent leadership, organization, and communication skills. Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam) considered an asset.
