Scope of Position: The Outside Sales Representative Northern Ontario will maintain and grow an existing customer base, prospect and generate new business, and build long-term customer relationships. This role includes cold calling, identifying new sales opportunities, and educating customers on new products and product lines. Responsibilities and scope may vary based on geographic region or product line. This position will report to the Regional Sales Manager Ontario and Quebec. Responsibilities and Essential Functions: Complete prospecting activities to secure initial and follow-up appointments with customer decision makers, including cold calls, lead generation, referrals, and networking. Maintain and grow an existing customer base. Prepare and deliver sales proposals and presentations and follow up with key decision makers. Educate current customers on new products and product lines. Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products and solutions. Engage with new and existing customers to drive increased product sales. Address and resolve customer concerns and issues. Travel approximately 80% of the time to customer sites and industry trade shows. May assist Corporate Accounting with payment collection. Responsible for company vehicle upkeep and maintaining a professional appearance. Other duties, as assigned and by Management. Self-motivated and able to work independently to meet or exceed targets. Maintains a professional appearance and presentation. Personable, articulate, and knowledgeable. Strong communication (verbal and written) and organizational skills. Quick learner with a mature, service-focused mindset. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Dependable and reliable. Required Credentials: Three to five years of outside business-to-business sales experience (lumber and/or building supply industry experience preferred). Bachelor''s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong communication skills, including a customer-focused phone presence. Must possess skills in business presentation, sales fundamentals, negotiation, and closing. Self-motivated with initiative and a proactive work style. Basic math and analytical skills. Job Type: Full-time, permanent Existing Vacancy: Yes Work Location: Remote with approximately 80% travel requirements. Candidate must reside in Northern Ontario. Salary: $70,000 to $80,000 per year based on experience. This position also includes commission and a company-provided vehicle.
