We are seeking an experienced Oracle Xstore POS Tester to support testing activities across retail pointofsale (POS) systems. The ideal candidate will have strong handson experience testing Oracle Xstore, Xcenter, and related retail applications, ensuring highquality releases through functional, integration, system, and regression testing. This role requires collaboration with crossfunctional teams, deep understanding of retail operations, and strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Key Responsibilities POS Functional & Integration Testing Execute functional, regression, and endtoend testing for Oracle Xstore POS applications. Validate POS transactions including sales, returns, discounts, promotions, tenders, gift cards, loyalty, and tax calculations. Perform integration testing between Xstore and upstream/downstream systems (OMS, ERP, Payment Switch, Loyalty, Inventory). Test Xstore-to-Xcenter replications, polling, and data synchronization. Test Planning & Documentation Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and technical design documents. Create detailed test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and test data aligned to retail store flows. Document defects, track resolution, and retest fixes using defecttracking tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, ALM, etc.). Prepare test execution reports, sign-off documents, and traceability matrices. Payments & Hardware Testing Validate payment workflows including credit/debit, EMV, NFC/contactless, gift cards, and alternative payment methods. Perform testing across storelevel hardware: PIN pads, receipt printers, scanners, cash drawers, and peripheral devices. Troubleshoot hardware/software integration issues and coordinate with engineering and vendors. Environment & Release Support Support POS builds, environment setup, and configuration validation for test environments. Assist with mock store, UAT, pilot, and production checkout scenarios. Perform smoke tests and sanity checks postdeployment. Work closely with QA leads, developers, product owners, and business analysts. Provide test estimates and participate in sprint planning and agile ceremonies. Communicate risks, blockers, and quality concerns proactively. Required Qualifications 37 years of handson retail POS testing experience. Strong experience with Oracle Xstore (v722) and Xcenter. Deep understanding of store operations, POS transactions, promotions, tenders, and backoffice flows. Familiarity with SQL for data validation (Oracle, SQL Server, or MySQL). Strong experience analyzing logs (POS logs, payment logs, polling logs). Experience with API testing tools like Postman or RestAssured (nice to have).
