Relocation and Visa sponsorship is available Responsibilities and Duties Oversee and lead the electrical design and development of all BESS components and systems, including integrating battery management systems (BMS), power conversion systems (PCS), and grid interconnection systems. Set the technical direction and strategy for the electrical engineering team, ensuring alignment with overall product and company goals. Manage, mentor, and develop a team of Senior and Junior Electrical Engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and excellence. Lead project planning, resource allocation, and scheduling for the electrical engineering team to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. Direct the architectural design and implementation of highpower systems, including the design of electrical panels, and the selection and integration of circuit breakers, disconnects, transformers, and busbars for utilityscale applications. Direct the creation and approval of detailed wiring diagrams, singleline diagrams, wire harness diagrams, and site integration diagrams. Drive crossfunctional collaboration with mechanical, software, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems into the overall BESS architecture. Lead the strategic identification, evaluation, and management of new and existing suppliers to optimize product cost, function, and lead times. Oversee the creation, review, and revision of FMEA, BOM, manufacturing, and assembly drawings to ensure quality and accuracy. Establish and enforce best practices for engineering documentation, including SOPs, design review presentations, design journals, and quality documentation. Guide critical architectural design decisions based on external client requirements and longterm product roadmaps. Ensure all electrical designs and documentation meet the requirements for UL product certification, including UL1973, UL9540, and UL9540A. The Candidate Were looking for individuals with the following traits, skills, and experiences: Bachelor''''s or Master''''s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. 3+ years of demonstrated experience in a leadership or management role, successfully leading and mentoring engineering teams. 7+ years of experience in an R&D environment; designing and developing complex electrical systems for highpowered electronics. Preference for candidates with BESS, renewable energy, or lithiumion battery application experience. Must have direct experience designing and developing highpower systems (600V+/1000V+), including electrical panels, circuit protection, busbars, and transformers. Expert proficiency in design software for electrical design of battery systems, power electronics, and control systems. Preferred understanding of lithiumion battery technology, battery management systems (BMS), and power conversion systems (PCS). Proven track record of managing projects from concept to completion and leading products through certification processes.
