Inspire Greatness Position Summary The Director, Talent Development will lead the design and implementation of initiatives that develop leadership capabilities and foster a highperforming, purposedriven culture aligned with our values. This leader will play a pivotal role helping to drive the work underway in support of strengthening leadership effectiveness and aligning talent strategies with business goals. Reporting to the Chief People and Culture Officer and collaborating with senior leaders, this role will create a futureready organization that thrives on growth, innovation, and a strong, valuesbased culture. This is a handson Leadership role where the incumbent will lead one or two practitioners and have both strategic as well as execution accountabilities. Major Elements of the Role Primary Responsibilities Design and deliver innovative learning and leadership development programs for all levels throughout the organization, focusing on key cultural and leadership competencies (leader of self, leaders of others, leaders of leaders). Facilitate the design and delivery of functional capabilities as needed in support of key business needs. Manage external relationships as needed to fulfill this requirement. Coach and mentor senior leaders to model desired behaviors and drive the development of our culture. Conduct various psychometrics and 360s in support of leadership and team effectiveness, knowledge and insights. Facilitate leadership team retreats and workshops to build alignment and shared vision. Integrate inclusivity into leadership development programs and cultural transformation strategies. Culture Assessment And Strategy Development Conduct comprehensive culture surveys over time, using tools to help us become aware of how we are creating our current culture and what we aspire to be different as we continue to grow and lean into our purpose. Implement various culture priorities as defined in annual Culture Risk Framework that is aligned with OSFIs Integrity and Security guidelines and the companys strategic goals. Help us facilitate becoming aware of cultural patterns that no longer support our vision. Maintain and evolve core values and desired leadership behaviors to embed in the organization. Ensure metrics and KPIs are monitored to track the progress of culture transformation initiatives. Talent Strategy & Succession Planning Partner with HR and business leaders to design and implement a robust succession planning framework. Working with your HR partners, design and implement programs to identify and develop highpotential talent (such as structured development experiences and career pathing). Create a databacked approach to leverage insights to track the effectiveness of leadership and culture programs and inform future strategies. Organizational Development Support enterprisewide change initiatives by equipping leaders with the skills to navigate and lead through organizational changes. Working with Organization Change partners, apply organizational development frameworks to enhance team effectiveness, crossfunctional collaboration, and operational agility towards fulfilling our purpose and realizing our growth ambition. Develop programs that enable senior leaders to deliver strategies that promote resilience, adaptability, and a growth mindset. Performance Engagement Initiatives Foster a positive work environment that promotes diversity, inclusion, and psychological safety. Align performance management systems with the desired culture and leadership behaviors. Skills and Experience Required Qualifications and Technical Expertise Completed postsecondary education in Adult Education, Human Resources Management, Instructional Design, or Organizational Development, or equivalent experience. Proven experience in organizational and leadership development, change management, and organizational culture transformation. Deep understanding of human behaviour and personal transformation, team dynamics, organizational culture dynamics, the factors influencing culture change, and employee engagement. Leadership coaching accreditation (PCC level preferred) and experience leading a coaching program in an inhouse context. Knowledge and practical application of various psychometric and other assessment tools. Attributes Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation and influencing skills to effectively engage stakeholders at all levels. Strategic thinking and ability to develop and execute complex plans. Executive presence and ability to collaborate with and influence senior leadership. Strong analytical skills to assess cultural data and identify areas for improvement. Ability to design and deliver impactful leadership programs.
