The Role A rare opportunity has opened for a talented Cloud Architect to join our Global Architecture team and play a key role in shaping the strategic vision across entire Seequents product portfolio including Evo, our nextgen SaaS geodata platform. You will work closely with our Tech Leadership and crossfunctional teams to refine and communicate the cloud architecture strategy, align implementations with architectural direction, recommend modern software architectural practices and patterns, and promote technical convergence. This is a Cloud Solution Architect role with a strong focus on modern cloudbased architecture rather than on infrastructure and operations. The job also entails working with hyperscale cloud providers and technology vendors to identify best practices and strategic opportunities. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Evaluate current ideas on modern cloud architectures, best practices and technologies and how they could apply at Seequent. Propose architectural patterns and technical selections line with Global Architectures strategic vision. Evaluate team architectures and APIs for alignment with Seequent''''s vision. Investigate technology selection options for suitability across Seequent. Contribute to architectural possibilities with the other members of the Global Architecture Team. Fluently discuss Seequents architectural strategy and vision with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders across Seequent and Bentley Systems. Provide insights into the rationale behind architectural decisions and foster alignment across teams. Work with your assigned product teams on architectural and technical convergence. Work with our customers and partner organizations on platform level integration of technologies with Seequent. Contribute to Architecture Team documentation. To be successful in this role, you should have: 5+ years as an architect (or equivalent) for one or more large scale SaaS providers or a cloud hyperscaler. An additional 5+ years'''' experience as a software developer (or equivalent). Proven problem solving and lateral thinking abilities at the Platform or System Architecture Level. Experience working to improve scalability, availability and performance in a cloud environment. Experience developing, documenting and communication an architectural strategy for a significant, global, cloudbased SaaS solution.
