Were hiring for two highimpact teams: our flagship Client Gallery product team and our foundational Platform team. Whether youre energized by crafting customerfacing experiences or architecting the backend services that power our ecosystem, youll play a key role in shaping technical direction, mentoring developers, and delivering reliable, highperforming software at scale. About Client Gallery Team Build and scale photographerfacing features for Pixiesets flagship product, used by 1.5M+ creatives worldwide. As a Tech Lead, youll guide a collaborative team to ship highimpact customer experiences while maintaining exceptional performance, reliability, and longterm code health. Youll operate at the intersection of product, design, and engineeringtranslating business goals into thoughtful technical solutions that balance speed, quality, and sustainability within a mature, evolving product. About Platform Team Design and evolve the core services and infrastructure that power Pixieset. The Platform team builds and operates the shared systems that enable our product teams to move quickly and confidently at scale. We focus on reliability, scalability, security, and strong engineering practicesowning core services, cloud infrastructure, and modernization initiatives that shape the longterm health and evolution of our architecture. Your Impact Lead a team of Software Developers through the full project lifecycle, from initial discovery and planning to execution and delivery Facilitate planning sessions, standups, incident response, and other Agile ceremonies Provide mentorship, coaching, and technical oversight to support team growth and development Participate in hiring and onboarding new developers to strengthen the team Analyze, design, and implement scalable technical solutions that align with business goals, while contributing meaningful production code and maintaining a high technical bar through consistent, highquality MR reviews Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize new product features while balancing technical debt and maintenance needs Estimate timelines, allocate resources effectively, and take ownership of technical project execution Ensure highquality technical deliverables and act as a visionary leader for the team Oversee DevOps and infrastructure initiatives, ensuring application security, performance, and uptime Role Requirements 5+ years of experience building and shipping productiongrade software, with a track record of delivering features at scale 2+ years of experience leading or mentoring engineers, with demonstrated ability to coach, give feedback, and manage team dynamics Handson experience with PHP (Laravel, Symfony, Yii, or similar frameworks) and working knowledge of JavaScript in modern web applications Demonstrated capability working with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.) and understanding performance considerations at scale Proficient in system design and architecture, leading design solutions from concept to release and creating technical plans others can execute against Proven experience building and operating systems in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure), including designing for scalability and reliability Strong communication and leadership skills, with a proactive mindset and the ability to balance handson development with team mentorship and ownership What We Offer Hybrid work environment (2 inoffice days per week) 4 weeks of annual vacation & paid time off for office holiday closure RRSP matching $2,000 annual health & lifestyle spending account $1,000 annual education budget $1,000 annual charitable donation matching Comprehensive benefits: extended health, critical illness, longterm disability & life insurance Companyissued MacBook & home office budget Anniversary rewards & complimentary Pixieset premium account Teambuilding activities & companywide events A workplace recognized for excellenceWere proudly certified as a Great Place to Work, ranked #2 among Canadas Top Employers, and named one of Canadas Top Small & Medium Employers The typical salary range for this position is CAD $119,700 $161,700 annually. Salary offered will be based on skills, experience and market data.
