Post-secondary education is a core and growing sector of our practice, encompassing applied learning facilities, student housing, academic buildings, renovations, and long-range planning for colleges and universities across British Columbia and Alberta, delivered through long-term partnerships and collaborative delivery. We are seeking an Architect with relevant post-secondary experience with a strong interest in this sector to join our studio and contribute to the continued growth of this important aspect of our practice. This role is well suited to an architect who has delivered institutional projects, understands the complexity of post-secondary clients, and is interested in developing greater leadership responsibility over time. Key Responsibilities Lead and contribute to the delivery of post-secondary and institutional projects from concept through construction Knowledge of the post-secondary funding models including demonstrated ability and experience delivering architectural, planning, and interior design projects for post-secondary clients Support planning, renovation, and new-build projects for post-secondary clients of varying scales Contribute to strong client relationships through responsiveness, clarity, and collaborative engagement Share knowledge and mentor junior staff within a team-oriented studio culture Participate in the ongoing development of Thinkspaces postsecondary practice through lessons learned, sector insight, and collaboration with leadership What you Bring Degree in Architecture and eligibility to practice in Canada Registered Architect (AIBC) 5+ years of professional experience, with demonstrated institutional or postsecondary project exposure Understanding of postsecondary environments, governance structures, and delivery models Ability and willingness to work on projects of small, medium, and large scale Strong design judgment paired with technical rigor and attention to detail Proficiency in Revit and standard architectural production tools Collaborative mindset aligned with Thinkspaces values and longterm aspirations Why Thinkspace?
