Requirements 5+ years as Hardware Test Engineer/ Design Verification Engineer/ EDVT Handson experience in testing networking L2/L3 protocols Familiar with EDVT processes - QA test case development and execution in the area of testing hardware/software configurations, power tests, diagnostics testing or related areas. Good communication Nice to Have Skills Experience in performing EDVT on Cisco/Juniper/Arista/Palo Alto switching and routing products CCNA / CCNP certification Daily Responsibilities Participate on project teams of engineers involved in specification, design, development and test of hardware Assist engineers in design, development and evaluation of new products, perform bench level repair and bringup on engineering prototypes. Define the design test parameters and procedures with the goal of releasing zero design defects to production. Develop and implement system and board level test plans with hardware & software development engineers, diagnostics engineers, and project managers. Setup complex test setup to maximize functional stress on hardware modules. Identify test equipment and test architectures required to test new hardware products. Execute EDVT test plans while documenting results and debugging issues found. Drive issue to closure and get corrective action with the project team. Perform optical transceiver, RJ45 MagJack qualification and other secondsource component qualification. Perform HALT (Highly Accelerated Life Testing) at outside labs. Interface closely with crossfunctional product teams to resolve issues to meet the project milestones, thirdparty vendor for test equipment evaluation and training, and ODM partners for gathering, evaluating and approving ODM''''s test strategy, plans, process and reports. Present status and mitigation plan to the project team when needed. Drive the evaluation and enhancement of the testing process and best practice documentation. Improve processes and actively enhance test efficiency and consistency. Look for opportunities for cost avoidance, test leverage and improving customer satisfaction.
