Purpose We are recruiting a People (HR) Business Partner to provide human resources leadership to the business in Markham. The role will enable leaders to manage talent effectively and act as a consultant and strategic partner to client groups, improving service delivery and supporting profitable business growth. Responsibilities Manage the employment lifecycle from onboarding to exits, ensuring data quality and accuracy in HRIS systems. Collaborate with People Operations Advisors and Shared Services Partners to execute personnel data changes and operational activities. Establish base salaries for new hires and promotions using market data and compensation strategy. Lead organizationwide programs such as talent reviews, workforce planning, talent development, annual pay review, succession planning, and other CoE projects. Develop, maintain, and recommend People strategies to support CAE operational goals. Maintain business relationships across all levels, delivering highlevel customer service. Act as a business partner to leaders, providing coaching, advice, and influencing behaviours. Encourage and foster a highperforming culture. Implement and maintain HR and Employee Relations policies and processes. Ensure client satisfaction through responsive, thorough communication. Manage global mobility initiatives (work permits, intercompany transfers, etc.). Lead a small team of HR professionals in CAE. Additional Business Partner Duties Workforce planning and talent acquisition. Mobility (domestic and international). Project mobilization and onboarding. HR policy application and interpretation. Diversity, equality & inclusion. Remuneration and reward. Talent management, succession planning, retention, engagement. Employee relations, investigations, legal issues. Ready, Response and Recover (R3) support for security and resilience. What You Will Bring Technical and Industry Experience: Strong background in EPC/EPCM, change management, organizational design, and employee relations. Proven ability to build relationships with stakeholders and influence decisions. Credibility, decisiveness, and critical thinking skills. Excellent written and oral communication; negotiation and influencing skills. Collaborative, professional, emotionally mature, and diplomatic. Selfstarter, able to work independently or in a team. Strong timemanagement, organization, and prioritysetting skills. Experience in multilocation environments is an asset. Resultsoriented with robust planning skills. Growth mindset to adapt in a fastpaced environment. Deep knowledge of Employment Standards Legislation for Ontario. CHRP designation an asset. Experience with Shared Services model an asset. Bilingual (French) an asset. Education Qualifications, Accreditation, Training Required: University degree or Human Resources Management degree/diploma with related progressive HR experience. For applicants based in Ontario, the salary range is $113,000 to $147,000 CAD. Pay level is determined by qualifications, experience, location, internal equity, and market conditions.
